WSIB Putting Money Back into the Hands of Safe Businesses
Toronto, ON, August 29, 2025. This fall, starting in October 2025, the WSIB is returning surplus funds to safe, eligible businesses through automatic premium rebates. These rebates can help reduce costs, improve cash flow, and support investments in health and safety or other key areas.
CrossSafety Board Member Awarded King's Medal
Toronto, ON, August 28, 2025. Congratulations to CrossSafety board member David Yager, who was recently awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal, on nomination by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith. The medal was awarded for his lifetime of contributions to Canada and Alberta.
Corporate Amalgamations
Toronto, ON, July 2, 2025. In April 2023, CrossSafety Holdings Inc. (CSH) acquired Thompson Roach & Hughes Consulting Inc. (TRH), and Safety Comp Services Inc. (SCS), joining those with Resource Environmental Associates Limited (REA). Effective July 1st 2025, CSH, TRH and SCS were amalgamated, and will continue operating under the corporate name CrossSafety Solutions Inc. Also on July 1st 2025, REA and CrossSafety Consulting Ltd. were amalgamated, continuing operations under the corporate name CrossSafety Consulting Ltd. There are no changes to ownership, management or operations.
Amendments to the Ontario OHSA and O. Reg 213/91
Toronto, ON, January 13, 2025. Starting January 1, 2025, several important amendments to Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Regulation for Construction Projects (O. Reg. 213/91) will come into effect.
